In our stem class we have been studying simple machines. we had to go to our homes and find an example of each simple machine.

I am holding an axe. A axe is a wedge. It helps to make things easier to cut.

I am holding a baseball bat. A basebal bat is a lever. The bat helps you to hit the baseball.

I am pointing at stairs. Stairs are an incline plane. an inclined pane helps to get things from one level to the next.

I am holding a screw. the screw is a screw. Screws help to hold things together.

I am pointing at a solar cover wheel. the wheel is part of a wheel& axle. It helps to put things on or of or can make things easier to move.

I am pointing at a pulley system. it is a pulley. Pulleys help to raise or lower things.

In our stem class we watched a movie about levers, wheels & axle, and a pulley. We had to then take notes and make a drawing of each of the 3 simple machines. the 3 simple machines I drew were a pulley system for pulley, a car for wheel& axle, and i did a see-saw for a lever.

In our stem class we had to watch a movie about inclined planes, screws and wedges. We had to then take notes and draaw aa picture. I drew a screw for screw, a person pulling a car up a hill for inclined plane and I drew I knife cutting bread for the wedge.

#2_Simple machines in school

In our stem class we went around the school to find simple machines. Simple machines are machines that are not compound and make life easier.

This is a tack. A tack is a wedge. It is a wedge because it cuts through
things to make things stay.

This is a ramp. A ramp is an inclined plane.An inclined plane makes things easier to move up or down from place to place.

Picture 3.
This is a pencil sharpener. It has a lever, screw, and gears in it. A lever helps to make thing move or go. A screw helps things stay together. The gears are what make the lever turn the things on the inside.
